Hand Sanitizer Facts

By adam eric at 2011-02-22 00:03:34
Hand sanitizers have been selling like hotcakes since news centers around the world announced the pandemic called HNIN, or swine flu. There are several types of sanitizing gels, wipes and foams available these days. For example, there is the liquid hand sanitizer which is the most common one available at the drugstores. There are also the alcohol based sanitizing gels, as well as so-called "green" sanitizers available.

The poor hand sanitizer is like a thoroughbred race horse, the favourite in the race, that charges out of the starting gates but ends up fading drastically in the final stretch. How can such a promising product taper off like my new skinny jeans? Well, here's my take on what happened and why I think it's time for the hand sanitizer to take its rightful place in society.

Hand sanitizer in general kills at least as many germs as soap and water. It has been known for many years that washing your hands regularly prevents one from getting all kinds of sicknesses and helps to keep you healthy overall. Most hand sanitizers kill nearly 100% of all germs on your hands when you use them.

Hand sanitizers form an essential part of the office cleaning supplies and home cleaning supplies and the foam hand sanitizer is one of the eco friendly hygiene products. Some of the other products offered under the same category are the cutan hand-sanitizer.

These hand sanitizers are amazing. They kill the disease-causing germs within 15 seconds. The best ones are alcohol-free, fragrance-free, dye-free, non-toxic, non-flammable, and they don't leave a sticky residue on your hands. I now have one in every room of my house, and my family and I each have a mini spray that we take with us wherever we go... so, we're always protected.

In turn, carrying around these miniature items will allow your company overall mobility and your business will gain constant exposure every time someone uses your imprinted hand sanitizer. The type of sanitizer you choose is irrelevant because larger versions will usually have smaller or miniature counterparts that can easily be used for promotional giveaways.

Sanitizing gels disinfect and evaporate quickly and easily. Most contain alcohol, polyacrylic acid as a gelling agent, and plant-based oils such as aloe. The advantage of gels is that you can control the amount you use, and a relatively small amount is needed to disinfect both hands.

These are just a few of the ingredients in hand sanitizers, you might be bored if I listed and explained them all. So, are we really waging a war against germs? Or are we being suckered into yet another product to add to the shopping list, fearful that we might be on the brink of a health risking epidemic.

You have recognized the current problem, which is frightening, and you are providing a beneficial gift that will be helpful to your clients, customers, and employees Every time we turn on the TV or radio, we are assailed by the ever-increasing numbers of people who have been stricken by the H1N1 flu. No one wants to become ill and hand washing is being touted as one of the best ways to protect yourself.

Furthermore, just like properly washing your hands a hand sanitizer needs to be applied to the top, bottom, sides, inside fingers and fingertips. Rub vigorously with enough cleaner to get them damp and continue rubbing together until they appear dry. If this dry feeling occurs within les then 15 seconds you have not used enough cleaner.

Flu season is here. It's not the best or most exciting news out there, but it's a fact. With swine flu being a major concern in particular this year and the flu virus changing constantly, it is best for everyone to be prepared.

Before, many surgeons perform surgery without even washing their hands, that's why the death rate due to infection was very high during those times. Major communicable deceases spread from one person to another without even realizing it.
