Leukemia is a malignant disease (cancer) of the bone marrow and blood. It is characterized by the uncontrolled accumulation of blood cells. In AML, the bone marrow makes many unformed cells called blasts. AML starts with a change to a single cell in the bone marrow. With AML, the leukemic cells are often referred. to as blast cells.

Texture, temperature, moisture and turgor can be subjectively inspected, but palpation must be done for a greater accuracy. Clothing always interferes with palpation, thereby necessitating that the doctor examines each area of the body nude either as the part of the general overall examination or combined with the assessment of each body system. Since texture is affected by climatic exposure, such as cold, sun, wind etc, the doctor should compare the texture of the areas of the body that are usually clothed with those that are generally exposed.

Different medical signs and symptoms can be present in a case of pancytopenia. Some are in the area of easy bleeding, including that under the skin, such as: bruising easily, nose bleeds, petechiae, and others. Some pancytopenic patients may have issues such as shortness of breath (also known as dyspnea), a rapid heart rate, and general weakness. Pallor, headaches, and frequent infections are also possibilities. Additionally, symptoms of the aforementioned conditions involving lowered counts of one particular type of blood cells -- such as anemia for red blood cells -- can also occur.

Leukemia symptoms:

- pale skin
- tiredness
- mild fever
- bruises

The skin receives its pigmented color of yellow, brown, and black melanin and its shades of red or blue from the color of hemoglobin. Oxygenated hemoglobin in the superficial capillaries of the dermis gives a rosy, pink glow. Reduced (deoxygenated) hemoglobin reflects a bluish tone, through the skin, called cyanosis, which is evident when reduced hemoglobin levels reach 5mg/dl of blood or more, regardless of the total hemoglobin. In general, the darker the skin pigmentation is, the greater the amount of deoxygenated hemoglobin must be for cyanosis to be evident.

Luekemia is a cancer (malignant disease) of the blood or 'bone marrow', (soft tissue found in the hollow interior of the bone.) It is characterized by the uncontrolled accretion of blood cells, usually white blood cells. The word Luekemia means "white blood", which was derived by luekemia patients' high white blood count. An excessive amount of cells can interfere with other cells which causes a very harmful imbalance of blood count.

Although infants who die from this disorder often appear healthy, research suggests that many may have had undetected abnormalities, such as an immature respiratory system and respiratory dysfunction. In fact, the current thinking is that it may be caused by an abnormality in the control of breathing, which causes apnea (prolonged nonbreathing periods) with profound hypoxemia (decreased oxygen in the blood) and irregular heartbeats.

The enterovirus Capsid is thought to be composed of 32 morphologic subunits, possible in the form of a rhombic triacontahedron rather than a regular icosahedron. Rhinovirus capsid architecture appears to be similar. Infective nucleic acid has been extracted from several enteroviruses and rhinoviruses. Enteroviruses and rhinoviruses differ in buoyant density.

The recent outbreak of dengue in Singapore is believed to have resulted in more damages than what SARS did in 2003. The uncontrollable rise in dengue incidence has left the government clueless for some time on what else is needed to be done, given all the existing measures they have been relying to, which in fairness succeeded in mitigating the extent of cases in the past years.

Prolonged uremia, which appears because of an impaired kidney function can lead to anemia. Anemia caused by prolonged uremia can be treated with androgens or erythropoietin, a recently developed hormone having role in the stimulation of red cell production. Sometimes, chronic uremia can determine the apparition of more severe forms of anemia, and that requires blood transfusions.

First of all, what is a wart? A wart, according to Google, is generally a small, rough tumor, typically on hands and feet but often other locations, that can resemble a cauliflower. Warts are common, and are caused by a viral infection, specifically by the human papillomavirus (HPV) and are contagious when in contact with the skin of an infected person. It is also possible to get warts from using towels or other objects used by an infected person.

The spleen's normal function is to trap and eliminate old and bad cells so they can be replaced by good ones. If for some reason platelets are abnormal, then the spleen will destroy large amounts of them. This happens in ITP (Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura also known as Immune thrombocytopenia). In ITP, antibodies may be attached to the platelets which cause the spleen to destroy them.

This is a section of the cases on inborn syphilis, since newborns can manifest no symptoms and can only be recognized on constant prenatal screening during pregnancy. If these symptoms are not being recognized during pregnancy, the newborns will have insufficient feeding habits and rhinorrhea. Based on the description, premature congenital syphilis occurs in children before they reach 2 years old. And this can also rise up the level of the overdue inborn syphilis.

Infants ordinarily keep their fists clenched. You may notice that your baby has long fingernails. An infant's fingernails are generally soft but can scratch his or her soft skin. If the fingernails look long or scratch marks seem to be appearing on the infant or on you when you hold your baby close, you may cut the nails. Almost any nail-clipping instrument will do as long as you are careful.

Causes of vaginal atrophy:

The vagina is composed of an inner layer of stratified squamous epithelium, a middle wall muscle and a fibrous outer layer. Before menopause, the presence of endogenous estrogen, the vagina is characterized by thick rough surface, increased blood flow and vaginal lubrication.
